SADDLEBACK GIVING FUNDS

Saddleback Church has partnered with The National Christian Foundation (NCF) to create and manage Saddleback Giving Funds –a new and fully confidential way to simplify all of your tax-deductible giving to and through your church.   Since 1982, the National Christian Foundation has helped thousands of givers donate more than $1.8 billion to over 15,000 charities.

Saddleback Giving Funds provide an immediate tax deduction for your financial contributions, but holds them until you are ready to recommend grants to Saddleback Church or other charities of your choice.  This enables you to give now, receive a tax deduction, and grant the funds to a charity later.   You can open a Saddleback Giving Fund on-line, at any time, with as little as $5,000.  There is no charge to open a fund, and depending on the fund balance, undistributed funds may actually grow in value tax-free. 

If you have non-cash items such as stock or real-estate that you are not yet ready to donate directly to the church or a charity, our NCF partner can help you convert them to cash and place the proceeds in your personal Saddleback Giving Fund so you can wait to distribute the funds at any point in the future.

Opening a Saddleback Giving Fund will also provide you a simple and easy way to give to Saddleback's PEACE projects in support of The PEACE Plan, a strategy to attack the 5 global giants of the world (spiritual emptiness, egocentric leadership, poverty, disease, and illiteracy).  The PEACE Plan is mobilizing millions of volunteers in local churches to address the giants in their communities. Saddleback Church encourages you to first tithe to your church home and then any additional offerings you want to contribute can go to your Saddleback Giving Fund.

Saddleback Church respects your desire for confidentiality, so we have partnered with The National Christian Foundation and its local affiliate, Foundation for Christian Stewardship, to provide Saddleback Church Giving Funds. Your private fund balance will be not be shared with Saddleback Church unless you specifically authorize it by listing a Saddleback Church representative as an advisor on your fund.
